Post of: NVQ Assessor in Occupational Health and Safety
Ref: NVQA1
Reporting to: NVQ Manager
Salary: £15,000 - £20,000 depending on experience and qualifications
Office base: Hessle, near Hull
Full time permanent position
Role: The Portfolio Manager will prepare the candidates work based evidence ready for assessment by the NVQ assessor. Assessor will provide feedback to candidates either by email, telephone or face to face. The assessor will also deliver workshops to new candidate to support them in building the portfolio. The role is predominantly office based, however as our students are located throughout the UK, this will mean an element of travel, and at times, an overnight stay.
It is therefore essential that the post holder possesses the following:
- A1 or D32/D33 Assessor award or be working towards it.
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and have or be working towards NVQ level 4 in Occupational H&S (this may be provided by SHEilds)
- Excellent administration skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Good IT skills and ability to use email
- Ability to deliver training in relation to the NVQ to groups of candidates
From time to time the post holder will be asked to undertake other duties commensurate with their work.
Health, Safety & Environmental Trainer and eLearning Support Tutor — Hull, UK
Based at our training centre in Hessle, near Hull.
Permanent position, part or full-time
Duties include:
- Supporting our NEBOSH / IOSH candidates through email support, and on occasion through telephone support:
- Facilitate NEBOSH Examination workshops and their subsequent examinations:
- Deliver a range of classroom based training:
- On occasions the post holder may be asked to deal with a range of consultancy matters working with local business on their sites:
The post holder should possess the following:
Essential:
- Grad IOSH status or be working towards within 6 month
- Have a minimum of 1 years experience in a training OH&S role
- Good computer skills and a website understanding
Desirable:
- Be familiar with NEBOSH & IOSH courses and the examination process of the associated awarding bodies.
- Hold a current teaching (training) qualification

Operations Manager – India (IOP1)
We require a skilled Manager who will oversee our operations in India from our head office based in Mumbai.
To apply you will have:
- Experience with office and staff management
- Have good communication skills at all levels, including at Director level
- Have excellent organisational skills and at least 3 years in a similar role
- Your I.T skills must be up to date and relevant
- You must be able and willing to travel, both internally and internationally when required
- You should be educated to Degree level in management.
- You will have good business accruement and have the skills to discuss matters of contract and problem solving
- You must be able to visit our Head Office in Hull, UK to undertake a month of introduction and induction.
The suitable applicant will be energetic and willing to take on a challenge. You will be often working alone but you will be supported by an administration Clerk and our Director of International Operations who is based in the UK.

NEBOSH Trainer – India (ITr1)
Required for mainly Southern India, although may be expected to work in other regions.
To apply you will need to
- Be experienced in delivery of NEBOSH qualifications including the General, Fire & Risk Management and International General Certificates as well as the NEBOSH Diploma.
- Be an experience tutor
- Be a corporate member of IOSH or at least GradIOSH
- Be experienced at dealing with mixed cultures and religions
