eLearning lessons are generally designed to guide students through information or to help students perform in specific tasks. Information based eLearning content communicates information to the student. Lessons are designed to be user friendly with mock examinations and short tests at each step. When the student is ready for sitting the examination as required by our NEBOSH courses, we will arrange this at a suitable venue or with regards to the IOSH Managing Safely certificate the examination can be undertaken on line.

Classroom based learning, delivered at our own purpose designed training centre or at the clients premises.

This is the more traditional vision of learning albeit that at SHEilds we use the most up to date training materials and methods. SHEilds tutors are integral to our continuous improvement programmes and are subject to client and peer reviews. All of our tutors are appropriately trained and accredited in the subjects they deliver; the majority of our tutors are from an industrial background which allows them a ‘real life’ view of student requirements.

Blended Learning is the combination of multiple approaches to learning.

Blended learning can be accomplished through the use of 'blended' virtual and physical resources. A typical example of this would be a combination of technology-based materials and face-to-face sessions used together to deliver instruction.

Flexible Learning

Flexible learning is concerned with providing learners with increased choice, convenience, and personalisation to suit the learner. In particular, flexible learning provides learners with choices about where, when, and how learning occurs. In its essence, flexible learning is about greater choice for learners. This includes choices in when, where and how learning occurs.

Adopting a flexible learning approach doesn't mean changing everything about your approach to teaching and learning.

To enhance blended and flexible learning SHEilds offer a number of workshop or surgery days, in which individuals or groups can gain further specific knowledge of a subject they are undertaking.

In particular our exam techniques has always been in high demand from our own and other providers’ learners, we have now also extend the range of workshops to include the elements and sections of many of our distance based courses; our ‘one to one’ surgeries something the SHEilds reputation was built on are still available when required.
