The Management level 5 qualification is intended for managers who are responsible for the control of activities and work output of other managers, who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, for example improving organisational performance, providing leadership, encouraging innovation, developing a strategic business plan, managing risk, planning the workforce managing a programme of complementary projects.
Course Duration: 3 – 24 Months (Average completion 7 - 9 months)
Qualification: Diploma (Dip.RSA)
Memberships: Institute of Leadership and Management (Upon application).

Entry Requirements
There are no formal requirements but candidates need to be an experienced, practising middle manager who is able to demonstrate both theoretical and practical competence in the workplace to a national standard in key areas.
A personal skill scan conducted by our staff, will ensure that your current job role lends itself to the demands of the National Standards at the preferred level.
Course Structure
To achieve a full OCR Level 5 in Management, a candidate must complete four mandatory units and three optional units

- E7 ensure an effective organisational approach to health and safety
- F12 improve organisational performance

- A2 manage your own resources and professional development
- A3 develop your personal networks
- B2 map the environment in which your organisation operates

- B4 put the strategic business plan into action
- B8 ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements
- B9 develop the culture of your organisation
- B10 manage risk
- B12 promote equality of opportunity and diversity in your organisation
- C4 lead change
- C5 plan change
- C6 implement change
- D2 develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- D4 plan the workforce
- D7 provide learning opportunities for colleagues
- E3 obtain additional finance for the organisation
- E4 promote the use of technology within your organisation
- F2 manage a programme of complementary projects
- F4 develop and review a framework for marketing
- F9 build your organisation's understanding of its market and customers
- F10 develop a customer focussed organisation
Workshops
These are available on a regular basis at no extra cost; these cover the basics of portfolio building through to more in-depth aspects of the NVQ/SVQ requirements.

Funding
This qualification has been accredited to the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and, as such it may be eligible for public funding.
Assessment
Like all NVQ/SVQs, this qualification is competence-based. This means that it is linked to a person's ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work.
Assessment is by production of a personal portfolio demonstrating understanding and application of the NVQ/SVQ 5 National Standards, this is greatly simplified by our eLearning platform, where evidence can be electronically submitted.
