This video learning course teaches the dangers of working at height, the regulations, the hierarchy of controls, assessing risk, and more, and it targets anyone who undertakes work at height or employs people who regularly work at height.
The term ‘work at height’ covers many situations, from obvious ones like platforms, ladders, scaffolds, or stages to working near deep trenches. Above all, the crucial point is not how far you climb, but how far you can fall. Falls don’t just involve people—similarly, falling materials or equipment pose serious hazards to anyone below.
Health and safety legislation covers all working at height situations, including the Work at Height Regulations 2005. These regulations confer legal duties on employers and employees to assess, control and minimise risks and hazards from work at height.
Please note, this is an awareness course only; therefore, if your duties involve working at height, you must also complete additional practical training.
