As a determined safety practitioner, understanding principles behind how incident and accident occurs and how to prevent it from recurring drives my interest to spend time gaining knowledge through NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
SHEilds NEBOSH was not originally my first online OH&S training choice. I completed one of ten online modules from a very respected Canadian university before switching to SHEilds NEBOSH. I switched from the other program due to the fact that there wasn’t active interaction with a forum or tutor and the testing process was very weak and allowed almost anyone to pass, which in my mind certainly takes away from the credential.
The SHEilds format is much better; having an active online discussion forum with an active dedicated tutor (Will Taylor) is terrific. Hats off to Will especially.
I wrote the International Oil and Gas Certificate exam two days ago and I believe I scored very high. I officially get the result in May. I was very well prepared and I believe this was largely due to Will and the format of the SHEilds course. I respect and value the rigorous NEBOSH testing as it helps maintain the prestige of the qualification and intend to write all three International Diploma exams in July.
[Update] I received my results earlier today and I’m very pleased to say that I successfully passed the NEBOSH International Oil and Gas Technical Certificate in my first attempt.

I have found SHEilds to be very helpful, the amount and depth of detail on each unit is very good. I am resident in Qatar and the fact I can access the SHEilds website and they also arrange for the exams to be taken here has made the course a lot easier.

I’m still having some trouble getting back to normal life routine, really. Last month, it was almost 5-6 hours daily, last week I reached 10-11 hours couple of times. So, I feel a bit of paranoid, a bit pyscho now. Hope, it’ll pass.

Without doubt having completed a SHEilds HSE course has undeniably opened so many doors for me outside of my usual 9 to 5 occupation.
Having an internationally recognized certification as part of my portfolio, gave me the opportunity to oversee all the HSE requirements for an arduous expedition in the jungle of western Honduras recently which was sponsored by National Geographic. The principles of risk assessment and constant safety valuations are so transferable into any environment on any continent showing how diverse the HSE subject can be and as a result, I fully recommend not only doing a course with SHEilds, but to grab any opportunity you can and widen your horizons with such a universal and worthwhile skill. I am now concentrating on a NEBOSH Diploma whereby I intend to use my experiences gained as a tool for further academic progression.

When I started studying with SHEilds I was initially very apprehensive as I have never studied in this manner (distance e learning). My reservations were totally unfounded and the whole experience has been superb. The course material is very helpful and if you are prepared to put the hours in it does prepare you well.

Good afternoon Pasi, thank you for the congratulations, I however would like to congratulate SHEilds as I will explain.
Yes, it does only seem like yesterday when you ‘sorted out’ the course for me and that went very well form start to finish.
I was assigned a tutor Will Taylor who I have to say should share with me the congratulations being given, he is so knowledgeable and so accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble and he always ‘gets back to you’ in fast time, his feedback is honest and informative and leaves you in no doubt were you are going wrong and equally he is very quick in praising which is a great motivation.
I completed units A, B and C for my NEBOSH Diploma in quick time as exams suit me down to the ground and this was aided by Will’s famous question time on the student forums, which I always looked forward to and stretched me, giving me excellent preparation for the real exams. The night before I took the exams I emailed Patrick Frayne your Managing Director praising the SHEilds course and Will in particular, as I believed I was well prepared and I thought it is a good recommendation when someone actually does this prior to the exam.
Unit D, I struggled with I must admit and I was referred on my first attempt which I was initially surprised. When Will got the feedback sheet and scoring his explanation made perfect sense, it clearly wasn’t as good as I thought and not up to the required standard (it is a level 6 Diploma after all!).
Will coached me through my resubmission giving me pointers and advice and on re-submission my score increased by 30% and I was successful.
I would like to advice those that are hungry for educational training that is interactive, professional, cost effective with friendly team to consult SHEilds, a UK based, recognised, career development centre.weather you are starting off a new career, up grading your qualifications, SHEilds have all it takes and what you need to succeed.

It was a good thing coming across SHEilds Ltd which apparently became the best thing that ever happened to me. In my quest for knowledge and professional excellence I stumbled on SHEild’s home page while I was looking for something unique to add to my certificate.
As a young boy I struggled to register for IGC in 2010 and faithfully I did the exam in 2011 September and failed unit 2. I never relaxed. I did the IGC2 again and passed. I registered online for Construction Safety and International Diploma respectively and indeed the IGC experience and adequate preparation plus support from SHEilds team motivated me and I passed the exams brilliantly. I had unit A 66%, B 71% and C 61%.
To shock you all, I started a safety career in 2010 and for 2 years I worked as a safety officer in one of the World’s leading manufacturing company here in Nigeria. In 2012 based on the certificate I had acquired and geometric growth in my experience, I got a safety managerial role with another multi-national which I did for 8months before my former company called me back to render good service to them and now am soaring higher by day.
When few friends saw my tenacity for excellence, that made them to ask for the source and I was able to register over 15 students for IGC and 2 for International Diploma with SHEilds.

I have used SHEilds on numerous occasions to provide Health and Safety training, leading to professional qualifications for my team and others in the business. I work for the APMT Inland Services, the organisation that gives safety high importance. As Assistant General Manager – QHSSE; I am responsible for all safety related issues for seven entities in India and one in Pakistan. Was also a member of the global Steering Committee and hence conducted several audits in Middle East and south East Asia. Recently, our region was given the award for safety in South East Asia and I was commended by our management for this.
By this encouragement, I then thought of increasing my safety skills and knowledge by joining NEBOSH. I was in continuous dialogue with the Indian office at Hyderabad, India asking both smart and stupid questions at times in order to clear my queries, but the office was responding every question in a very friendly way and making me comfortable. I then decided to join the Int. Diploma immediately.
The eLearning link was given to me fast. As I started with the learnings I was glued completely. The notes provided are excellent and complete. Very simple to understand. Every module has a live video, the video does not hang. Connection to eLearning is instant. The best part of this eLearning is that I have been given a tutor who answers all queries. Past examination papers are all there. Even what the examiner thinks of students who have appeared in the past, their mistakes, what the examiner experts from you is all shared.
My priorities in life and what I want to do in year 2011 in my resolution made at the beginning of the year has changed. It’s now NEBOSH.
