Study Method
While undertaking your current job role and following the guidance provided within the online platform; learners will compile evidence of their competency for review by their course assessors and feedback will be given.
Entry Requirements
This qualification is approved for candidates aged 19 and over. Although there are no other formal entry requirements to enrol onto the qualification, as a provider SHEilds must carry out an initial assessment of a potential candidates skills and knowledge before they are permitted to enrol. This aids to identify any gaps and to plan the assessment.
Therefore our ProQual NVQ training courses have Eligibility Criteria, which should be met before a candidate can enrol to undertake the qualification.
Study Syllabus
There are 10 mandatory units you must study for this NVQ level 6, which cover a broad range of topics ranging from, developing health and safety policies, promoting positive safety culture, to developing emergency procedures.
NVQ Training Support
You will be assigned an assessor who will work with you and provide guidance to assist in completing this qualification.
Course Assessment
NVQ candidates submit evidence to an online platform towards each unit of the NVQ. The assessor team will provide feedback about the documentation until it is deemed suitable as proof of competency for each particular unit.
An Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) team at SHEilds verifies the evidence and highlight any issues. Once the IQA is satisfied with the standard of documentation, all evidence will be submitted to ProQual for Externally Quality Assurance (EQA).
Once the ProQual EQA team has accepted your evidence to meet the standard of the course framework criteria, ProQual will award candidates the NVQ level 6 Diploma qualification.
Examinations
There are NO EXAMS for this course, you are assessed solely on your submitted work-based evidence and documents
Steps to Pass
Essentially there are 3 steps to passing this NVQ Level 6 in OHS qualification.
Certificate Delivery
Finally once your work has been checked and passed, you’ll receive a certificate as proof you have passed the NVQ level 6 course in occupational health and safety practice. We will arrange for your certificate to be posted to you at an address of your choosing.
Career Progression
The NVQ Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Health & Safety Leadership and Management is recommended progression for those who meet the entry requirements. Alternatively studying an alternative similar Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety or Environmental Management may be beneficial.
