NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Diploma
There are three types of Diplomas available:
NEBOSH Diplomas in Health & Safety – more academic in nature, these courses are studied online and evaluated through workplace-based assignments and other assessments.
NEBOSH Environmental Diplomas – physical attendance is required at an accredited examination venue to completed the final assessment for these qualifications.
NVQ Diplomas – better suited to those who prefer a hands-on approach to learning. There are no exams, these courses are evaluated using documented evidence to demonstrate an individuals’ competence during daily work activities.

Who should study a Diploma in health and safety?
Generally, Diploma level health and safety training is suitable for practitioners who want to progress in their career, who ideally possess a certificate level qualification.
Diplomas are aimed at those with existing background knowledge in safety management within their industry. However, there are no entry requirements restricting those without prior knowledge from enrolling onto Diploma level courses. It is advisable to first study a certificate level qualification before attempting a diploma.
What’s included in the eLearning Platform?

NVQ Diplomas are a little different, where evidence is simply collected and uploaded to an online platform, which is then used to check-off against a competency frame work. Once all evidence is submitted, reviewed and approved, students will pass the NVQ.
How do I pass a Diploma?
To help students successfully complete a Diploma level qualification and meet their educational goals, we suggest they thoroughly review and understand the course syllabus and learning outcomes. Our expert tutors are there to help and support along the way. Ultimately, dedication and a commitment to study is the key to attaining a high pass rate. To increase the chance of passing a Diploma level course, we recommend that students first complete a certificate level qualification, such as a NEBOSH International or National General Certificate, to gain relevant core knowledge.

Yes, SHEilds provide NEBOSH Environmental and Risk Management Diplomas for those working within the UK and Internationally.
