The NVQ level 2 in Youth Mental Health First Aid Awareness, will give learners the ability to correctly identify and differentiate between ‘behavioural traits’ unique to young people and ‘mental health issues’ affecting those under the age of 21. Note, those under this age are regarded as Youths.
Young people are often ill-equipped to handle major problems in life, especially when encountering particular difficulties for the first-time, and may be uncertain what the best course of action is.
