Learners explore workplace health models, including the basic criteria of the World Health Organisation model, and understand the importance of a Health Needs Assessment in developing a Health Management Strategy.

On a practical level, the course covers hazards, risks, controls, and ‘Safe Systems of Work’, along with the role of health risk assessments. It teaches how to promote healthy lifestyles and positive mental health, manage authorised and unauthorised absences, create an Attendance Policy, handle return-to-work processes, and address absenteeism effectively.
