Revised Legionella Approved Code of Practice

(L8) The Legionnaires Disease Approved Code of Practice has been revised by the HSE to provide greater clarity on how to manage and control legionella bacteria.

The ACoP has been made easier to read as the technical guidance has been removed to a separate document, to leave included information on:

• Identifying and assessing risks.
• Preventing and controlling risks
• Managing and monitoring.
• Record keeping.
• Competent person appointment.

The technical guidance is now within HSG274.
