Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements exist to enrol on to this NEBOSH Oil & Gas Course. However, successfully completing the NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent is highly recommended.
Recommended by NEBOSH, to enrol on this course students should have an appropriate understanding of the English language (International English Language Testing System 6.0 or higher) in order to explain the concepts within the course syllabus.
Questions within NEBOSH examinations are all phrased in English. Your answers are also required to be provided in English.

Course Assessment
One classroom-based written exam
There are 5 elements to study followed by one two hour, in-person written exam (Unit IOG1).
How the course is graded
To achieve the International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety qualification, learners must pass the IOG1 examination with a minimum of 45 marks.
The qualification grade is based solely on the IOG1 exam results.
The IOG1 grading boundaries are as follows:
- 0 – 44 marks: Refer
- 45 – 54 marks: Pass
- 55 – 64 marks: Credit
- 65 marks and above: Distinction

Steps to Pass
There are 3 steps to passing the NEBOSH Oil and Gas Certificate qualification.
