SHEilds Ltd. is one of the
first organisations in the UK to embark on the new NVQ standards that
where launched at the beginning of 2003. These new standards are fully
recognised by the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health
(IOSH) as a route to corporate membership, on successful completion of
the NVQ portfolio candidates can apply to IOSH to use the designatory
letters ‘GradIOSH’ after their names,
leading to charterd status (CMIOSH)

NVQ
Level 4 in Safety Practice
The Level 4 N/SVQ in Occupational Health and Safety Practice has been
revised to take into account the revised NOS units. The consultation
feedback agreed that optional units are not required by the sector and
that the qualification will provide a sound basis for good health and
safety practice for both health and safety specialists and those who
have health and safety as part of a wider role. The qualification has
been improved by the use of the revised NOS which have the duplication
removed and an improved structure. The 10
