This course has been designed to impart the necessary knowledge to enable personnel to gain the expertise and competence to successfully assess, train in safe lifting techniques and reduce the risks from manual handling operations.

· conducting assessments (within workplace)

· training techniques

· planning and preparing a lesson

· training preparation & practice (classroom) practical

· safe lifting techniques (within workplace) practical

As well as various handouts throughout the course, a trainer's pack is issued which includes comprehensive guidance, sample lesson plans and a CD containing various Manual Handling power point presentations, which can easily be adapted to individual requirements.





Designed For: This course is aimed at personnel who are involved in in-house training or those responsible for carrying out manual handling assessments.

Teaching Time: 2 days.
Exam Format: The course is a mixture of practical demonstrations/exercises and theoretical work. The course ends with a written test paper to assess knowledge and understanding.
